Knowing the distribution of dark energy tells astronomers that the Universe will continue to get bigger indefinitely. Eventually it will become a cold, dead wasteland with a temperature approaching what scientists term “absolute zero”. Professor Priyamvada Natarajan of Yale University, a leading cosmologist and co-author of this study, said that the findings finally proved “exactly...

Lord Sunday
I don’t know why but for some reason I like it when a book makes a reference to an outside thing. I was reading Lord Sunday and the end is freaking awesome! In addition to its awesomeness the New Architect makes a reference when he sits down on a boulder laid his chin on his fist and began to think. I think this reference is awesome because he does it while he is surrounded by Nothing. Not...
Lyonesse:The Well Between the Worlds
This book is confusing. I don’t know why but it was like I couldn’t concentrate on it. There’s a lot of stuff to remember and if you forget it doesn’t make any sense. At the end of the book Ambrose makes a sacrifice to make everyone think that Idris and Morgan were dead. Idris decided to go back to Westgate to try and see his family. If you’re a kid-king and...

The Monsters of Morley Manor: Earthlings or...
In The Monsters of Morley Manor there are 4 and 1/2 people that have been turned into monsters and miniaturized. Bob the were-human (he’s normally a cocker spaniel); Gaspar the lizard-man; Albert the hunchback; Ludmilla the lady with snakes for hair (and no she’s not a gorgon); and Melisande the vampire. I haven’t finished this book yet (I’m on page 137) so I’m...
The Phantom Tollbooth
I first read The Phantom Tollbooth in elementary and it was a little confusing then. Now It’s funny looking back and seeing how much I understand compared to then. But something that still confuses me is why the Mathematician has a huge pencil for a staff. It would make more sense to me if he carried around a calculator. Something else that confuses me is why the Senses Taker couldn’t...
Did Bob Ewell really fall on his knife?
In To Kill a Mockingbird after Jem and Scout make it home and everyone is trying to figure out what happened, Sheriff Heck Tate says that Bob Ewell fell on his knife during the fight. Bob Ewell was stalking Jem and Scout after they left the halloween party and after they reached the oak tree on the edge of the schoolyard, Bob decided to stop being sneaky and went on a full out assault on them....
The origin of, "hey boo"?
On page 362 of To Kill a Mockingbird, Scout greets Boo Radley for the first time by saying, “Hey, Boo”. Since this book was published in 1960 I think it’s a plausible idea that this is the origin of people saying, “hey boo”. For a long time I wondered where such a dumb phrase came from. Now I know and what I don’t understand is how I didn’t catch this the...
To Kill A Mockingbird
To Kill a Mockingbird is a good book but it confuses me a lot. For instance scout calls Jem a morphodite after he threatens to whup her. I don’t know about you but i have no freaking idea what a morphodite is. It turns out that morphodite is actually a shorter way of saying hermaphrodite. A hermaphrodite is someone who was born with both sexual organs.
Witch and Wizard
Witch & Wizard is a novel by James Patterson and Gabrielle Charbonnet. I like it a lot. My last sentence was very short and kind of pointless. This book has a lot of cool attributes but one of the ones that I like the most is that it makes a lot of obscure references to modern day people, books, movies, places, and more. My favorite obscure reference is on page 93 and 312, where...
Waterscraper
I thought this was a pretty cool variation on the sky scraper and i think its interesting how it resembles a squid/jellyfish and shows sharks swimming around it

Supernaturalist
I read Supernaturalist for about the fifth time this week. I thought it was really good but i didn’t understand how, at the end, Faustino managed to live through that blast with only severe scarring. A nuclear generator blew up; if you’re caught in that kind of blast, especially when you’re standing on top of the generator, there’s no way you’re going to get out of it...

JROTC
This week I was awarded the rank of sergeant. I am now known as Sergeant Scruggs. I am the second cadet in my school to have the rank of sergeant this year. That means that of all the level ones only one other two other cadets are ahead of me.
Kite Runner
Today I finished reading Kite Runner. The ending is awesome. I’m partial to the American rule of never revealing the ending of any publication; so, I’ll only reveal the basics. Amir is contacted by his childhood, adult, friend, Rashim Khan. Rashim told him that he knew Hassan as an adult, and , long story short, he wanted Amir to come back to Afghanistan to take Hassan’s son,...

The Hobbit
A few days ago I started reading The Hobbit. It is about a hobbit name Bilbo Baggins. One day Bilbo is visited by the wizard Gandalf, who, later that day, brings along a troop of thirteen dwarves, who need Mr.Baggins for an adventure to reclaim their ancestral home; which has been taken over by the dragon, Smaug. The next day, Bilbo wakes up late for their adventure and has to run close to a mile...
Blog #2
Today I started reading The Reality Bug by D.J. Machale. It is about Bobby Pendragon and his adventure on Veelox after First Earth. Bobby can’t trust Spader’s emotions after he almost stopped the Hindenburg from blowing up (Saint Dane’s ruse on First Earth) so he tells him to go back to Cloral. After Spader returned to Cloral Bobby went on a short reprieve to Second Earth. While...
Blog about The Never War (D.J. Machale)
The book I’m currently reading is The Never War by D.J. Machale. The main character is Bobby Pendragon. He is part of a group of beings called the Travelers. The Travelers are group of people from different times and dimensions that are working against a demon called Saint Dane. There is one traveler for every territory (different time/dimension). The territories are connected by...
